The tits, chickadees, and titmice constitute Paridae, a large family of small passerine birds which occur in the northern hemisphere and Africa. Most were formerly classified in the genus Parus.
These birds are mainly small stocky woodland species with short stout bills. Some have crests. They range in length from 10 to 22 centimetres. They are adaptable birds, with a mixed diet including seeds and insects. Many species will live around human habitation and come readily to bird feeders. These small forest dwellers are vivacious, funny and brazen jesters. They immediately are confident and play to be trapeze artists giving us one of the funniest shows just for free.

maravillosas joyas vivas.
All these pictures were taken in one of the most beautiful places: Sierra Morena Mountains (Andalusia, Spain). My
thanks to Vicente Pérez Expósito for its hospitable
wellcome. He led me to these
wonderful places and has given me his generous friendship.
Here below are a couple of pictures of these beautiful mountains dressed in a beautiful Mediterranean forest so dense that looks like a jungle. That jungle was extended the whole of the Iberian peninsula to the Iron Age, before becoming farmland or urban areas. Interestingly, the image of the forest with autumnal brushstrokes was taken in late December, so we can say it is the latest autumn.
