CARRICERO COMÚN - REED WARBLER

El Carricero común (Acrocephalus scirpaceus) es un ave de la familia Sylviidae, de 13 cm de longitud y unos 12 gramos, con manto de tonos marrones terrosos, ceja y partes inferiores de color crema y ala puntiaguda. Es muy difícil de distinguir del carricero políglota (Acrocephalus palustris) y del carricero de Blyth (Acrocephalus dumetorum), pero escuchando su canto son fácilmente distinguibles.Su canto consiste en la rápida repetición de una nota dos o tres veces, seguida de una retahíla de notas agudas y carraspeos que dan como resultado un largo, rítmico y armonioso canto. Anida preferentemente en carrizos maduros a orillas de lagos, charcas, ríos, arroyos y canales, aunque también en la vegetación adyacente (sauces, salgueras o mimbreras). Come insectos, sus larvas, arañas y ocasionalmente semillas, frutos y flores. Es un ave migradora que cría de mayo a agosto en Europa y de abril a julio en África.

The Eurasian Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus) is a bird of the family Sylviidae, 13 cm long and about 12 grams. It is covered with an earthy brown plumage in its back, eyebrow and underparts cream-colored and pointed wings. It is very difficult to distinguish from polyglot warbler (Acrocephalus palustris) and Blyth's Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus dumetorum), but listening to his song are easily distinguishable. Its nice singing is the rapid repetition of a note two or three times, followed by a string of high notes and soft guttural occlusions which produces a long, rhythmic, harmonious melody. It nests mainly in mature reeds on the banks of lakes, ponds, rivers, streams and canals but also do so in the adjacent vegetation such as any species of willow. It feeds on insects and their larvae, spiders, and occasionally seeds, fruits and flowers. It's a bird that migrates to breed from May to August in Europe and April to July in Africa.

ÁGUILA BLANCA, ÁGUILA NEGRA

WHITE EAGLE, BLACK EAGLE

The short-toed eagle is heavenly white, glistening under the rays of the sun. Easily its immaculate white feathers disappear in a blinding flash when you try to photograph this queen of heaven. The black kite is so much dark that is a backlight in the sky and is easily hidden under a cloak of darkness. They are like the light and the shadow.


El águila culebrera es de un blanco celestial, refulgente bajo los rayos del astro rey. Fácilmente sus inmaculadas plumas desaparecen en un resplandor cegador cuando intentas retratar a esta reina de los cielos. El milano negro es tan oscuro que queda oculto fácilmente en la oscuridad del contraluz del cielo. Son el día y la noche.

El Milano Negro (Milvus migrans) se puede distinguir del milano real por su tamaño ligeramente más pequeño, la cola menos bifurcada, plumaje visible en vuelo y oscuro por lo general sin ningún tono rojizo. Ambos sexos son iguales. El plumaje superior es de color marrón, pero la cabeza y el cuello suelen ser más pálidos. El parche detrás del ojo se ve más oscuro. Las plumas de vuelo exteriores son de color negro y las demás tienen barras oscuras transversales y manchas en la base. Las partes inferiores del cuerpo son de color marrón, aclarándose hacia la barbilla. Las plumas del cuerpo tienen trazos negros que le dan un aspecto manchado. La cera y la boca abierta son de color amarillo, mientras que el pico es negro. Las patas son de color amarillo y las garras son de color negro. Tienen un silbido estridente distintivo seguido de una llamada rápida que recuerda a un relincho.

The Black Kite (Milvus migrans) compared to the Red Kite is slightly smaller size and has a less forked tail, visible in flight and generally dark plumage without any rufous. Both sexes are alike. The upper plumage is brown but the head and neck are usually paler. The patch behind the eye appears darker. The outer flight feathers are black. Most of the feathers have dark cross bars and are mottled at the base. The lower parts of the body are pale brown, becoming lighter towards the chin. The body feathers have dark shafts giving it a streaked appearance. The cere and gape are yellow but the bill is black. The legs are yellow and the claws are black. They have a distinctive shrill whistle followed by a quick whinnying call.

BUTEO BUTEO

The Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo) measures between 40 and 58 cm (16 and 23 in) in length with a 109–136 cm (43–54 in) wingspan and a body mass of 427–1,364 g (0.94–3.01 lb), making it a medium to large bird of prey. Males are smaller than females. It has a wide variety of plumages. Brown feathers are the most abundant, which are mixed with white feathers and pale earthy colors. It is usually resident all year in most of Europe and a great part of Asia except in the coldest areas of its range.

El Ratonero común (Buteo buteo), mide entre 40 y 58 cm (16 y 23 pulgadas) de longitud con un 109-136 cm (43-54 in) envergadura y una masa corporal de 427-1,364 g (0.94 a 3.01 libras), por lo que es un medio de gran ave de presa. Los machos son más pequeños que las hembras. Cuenta con una amplia variedad de plumajes. Las plumas marrones son las más abundantes, entremezcladas con plumas blancas y de tonos claros terrosos. Por lo general, residen todo el año en la mayor parte de Europa y gran parte de Asia, excepto en las zonas más frías de su área de distribución.

ÁGUILA CULEBRERA

SHORT-TOED SNAKE EAGLE
Adults are 62–67 cm (2 ft 0 in–2 ft 2 in) long with a 170–185 cm (5 ft 7 in–6 ft 1 in) wingspan and weigh 1.2–2.3 kg (2.6–5.1 lb). Males are smaller than females. They can be recognised in the field by their predominantly white underside, the upper parts being greyish brown. The chin, throat and upper breast are a pale, earthy brown. The tail is wide and has 3 or 4 pale brown bars in such a way that seems brush strokes. Additional indications are an owl-like rounded head, brightly yellow eyes and lightly barred under wing.


El águila culebrera es una rapaz grande, mide entre 62 y 70 cm de longitud, y 166-188 cm de envergadura, siendo los machos más pequeños que las hembras. Contrasta el pardo del dorso con el blanco con barras marrón oscuras de las partes inferiores a modo de pinceladas. Las alas son largas y anchas. Presenta cola bandeada, de extremo recto, y cabeza ancha con capuchón oscuro hasta el pecho. Los ojos son de un llamativo amarillo, y su disposición es más frontal que en otras rapaces diurnas. La forma de su cabeza recuerda a la de un búho.

Andalusia (Southern Spain) is a beautiful land where nature is so generous that offers a continuous show of biodiversity. Penetrate through its endless marshes, its beatiful mountains, its cultivated fields, its beaches and deserts... is seeing an endless parade of beauties from the world of flora and fauna. DIVINA ELEGANCIA - DIVINE ELEGANCE

La espátula es un ser elegante, majestuoso, hermoso, delicado. Esas plumas de color blanco inmaculado visten su cuerpo con un toque divino que inspiró a los pintores que materializaron en artísticas imágenes a los mismísimos heraldos del cielo, los ángeles.

The Eurasian spoonbills are elegant, majestic, beautiful and delicate beings. These pure white feather dress their bodies with a divine touch that inspired painters who materialized in artistic images to the very harbingers of heaven: the angels.

Me encantan esos rubíes que tienen en sus ojos y embellecen aún más a estas joyas vivas. Me encanta contemplar a estas bellas criaturas cuando se alimentan en esas aguas someras. Sus movimientos son silenciosos. Su cuello se desplaza de derecha e izquierda con la misma cadencia que el péndulo de un reloj de pared y al mismo tiempo sumerge con placer sibarita su cucharita como si tomara una deliciosa sopa.

I love those rubies that they have in their eyes and further embellish these living jewels. I love to watch these beautiful creatures when they feed in these shallow waters. His movements are quiet. Their necks moves from right and left with the same cadence that the pendulum of a clock while they are diving their spoons with sybaritic pleasure in such way that it seems they are tasting a delicious soup.

Las marismas del río Guadalquivir son un refugio para muchas especies amenazadas y punto crucial para el paso de las aves migratorias. Un paraíso terrenal para el amante de la naturaleza donde uno tiene la suerte de poder ver de cerca a estos maravillosos seres. Me siento afortunado de vivir cerca de este lugar donde la abundancia vida es un espectáculo grandioso.

The marshes of the Guadalquivir River are a haven for many endangered species and crucial for the passage of migratory birds. An earthly paradise for nature lovers where one is lucky enough to see up close to these wonderful beings. I feel fortunate to live near this place where the abundance of life is a magnificent spectacle.

A BIRD SANCTUARY

UN PARAÍSO PARA LAS AVES

Estas imágenes son de un lugar maravilloso que bien merece una visita: La Cañada de los Pájaros, un centro de recuperación de aves a orillas de la gran marisma del Guadalquivir, que tiene en su haber entre otros méritos el haber repoblado de focha moruna (en peligro de extinción) el Parque Nacional de Doñana.

These images have been taken in a wonderful place which well worth a visit: La Cañada de los Pájaros, a bird sanctuary on the banks of the great marshes of the river Guadalquivir, which is credited among other merits to have repopulated the Moorish Coot (species endangered) in the Doñana National Park.

Nuestro sol borra a las estrellas del cielo cada día.
Y un día su punto de luz irá desapareciendo de las noches de todos los planetas del universo.
No morirá del todo, siempre habrá cielos en este infinito universo donde siga luciendo con todo su orgullo.
Eso sí, su cegador rostro será cada vez más diminuto, más insignificante, con su ego humillado.
Somos hijos del sol y de las estrellas. Su destino es el nuestro.

Our sun clears the stars of the sky each day.
And one day its light will fade in the nights of all the planets in the universe.
